What did you learn from your reading? Summarise the big ideas here.

To be a great connected educator the authors suggested Eight Key connectors that one should follow:

  1. Firstly you should invest in a Personal and professional Learning Network.
  2. Learn What You Want, When You Want, How You want.
  3. Communicate with purpose, Collaborate with passion and take part in Community building with pride. ( Embrace the Three C's)
  4. Give and Take...and Give Some More
  5. Strive to be Tomorrow..... Today (Bring your personal best everyday)
  6. Build Relationships.
  7. Model the way ( How we Respond, Inspire and Collaborate is our choice)
  8. Know when to unplug ( Reflect, Monitor and Adjust)

To top this all of this one was encouraged to Follow 5, Find 5, Take 5.

  • Follow 5 educators who are leaders in investing their own learning network.
  • Find 5 they have shared, which helps you to create and maintain your own learning network.
  • Take 5 specific action steps which sets the wheels in motion for becoming a connected educator.

It was a great read ,very informative. I think that using the suggestions stated in this book, one will be well on their way to becoming a great connected educator.
